National Junior Honor Society

National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is an honorary service club and membership is based on grades, citizenship, and recommendations from teachers. 6th graders apply to join during the 2nd semester of their 6th grade year and start as members of the club in the first semester of their 7th grade year. If they did not join in 7th grade, 7th graders apply in the second semester of their 7th grade year and begin in 8th grade.

Announcements regarding the application process will be made via student TV, homebase, and in classes after the end of the first semester. Students need a 3.5 grade point average, can have no N's or U's in citizenship, and must be willing to participate in service projects selected by students.  Meetings are held once a month after school and attendance is mandatory. Attendance is also mandatory at community service projects.
