MISSION STATEMENT
Music education has served the needs of the societies that have sponsored it throughout the history of the world. I believe that the study of music serves a utilitarian and an aesthetic purpose. Through the experience of learning to play a musical instrument the student has the opportunity to develop qualities such as self-discipline and cooperation. In addition, music affords the chance for students to explore and develop their innate capacity for self-expression. In my role as an educator and musician it is my profession and privilege to teach, guide and encourage students toward attaining success, both musically and academically.
